Edinburgh Napier University (EIS) Strike Calendar

Lecturers at Edinburgh Napier University have voted overwhelmingly in favor of strike action due to a dispute concerning proposed job cuts at the institution.

The ballot, conducted by the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS), saw 93% of voters support the strike action, surpassing the legal threshold required for such action.

This result provides a clear mandate for the EIS University Lecturers’ Association (EIS-ULA) to initiate strikes at Edinburgh Napier.

The union stated that its members are prepared to take industrial action to oppose the planned job cuts, which are viewed as detrimental to both students and staff.

The EIS-ULA Executive is set to determine the subsequent actions in this ongoing dispute and will communicate details later.
