Nursery workers across Barnsley have voted unanimously in favour of strike action. Industrial action is anticipated in November following the ballot result.
The staff work across six nurseries outsourced by Barnsley Council to private provider Limetree. The dispute concerns plans to move workers onto a basic statutory pension scheme rather than retaining their Local Government pensions.
