Thurrock Council (GMB) Strike Calendar

Dozens of caretakers employed by Thurrock Council have begun voting on strike action following a dispute over terms and conditions. The dispute arose after workers were informed their roles would be downgraded, resulting in an average annual salary reduction of £2,000.

GMB members had agreed to a trial period but are seeking to end it after reporting that they are being assigned extra duties outside their remit. The strike ballot is scheduled to close on 14 September.
