Met Office (Prospect) Strike Calendar

Prospect members at the Met Office have agreed a new framework for managing hours balances for shift-working staff following a collective grievance and negotiations with management.

Under the new agreement, hours balances will be capped within a tolerance of plus or minus 30 hours across a three-month roster period. Surplus hours will be compensated through overtime or time off in lieu, while unmitigated deficit hours outside the tolerance will be removed.

Staff will also be credited with full rostered hours for cancelled shifts when alternative work is unavailable, and hours balances will no longer carry over when changing roles or leaving.
