Norwich Airport Ltd (PROSPECT) Strike Calendar

Air traffic control staff at Norwich Airport have voted to take industrial action over a dispute regarding pay and parental leave. The staff are paid significantly less than the UK market rate and receive substandard maternity and paternity cover. Action short of a strike is scheduled to begin on 17 August, which will include working to contract and withdrawing goodwill. Because the airport has inadequate staffing levels, refusing to work overtime is expected to result in the closure of the airport.

In the ballot, all participating union members voted in favor of action short of a strike, while 78% supported full strike action, on a 100% turnout. The union is demanding a 10% pay rise to align with market comparators, whereas the airport has offered only 3% for both 2026 and 2027. Additionally, staff are seeking improved maternity and paternity leave policies to replace the current statutory arrangements.
