P&O Ferries (RMT) Strike Calendar

The seafarers union RMT has secured a pension victory after P&O Ferries paid over £90 million owed to the Merchant Navy Ratings Pension Fund. Following negotiations between the fund trustees and DP World, the £94 million debt has been paid in full, and the funds have been invested. This payment also removes charges previously held over the company's vessels as security against default.

The resolution follows a union campaign for the 786 seafarers sacked by the ferry company. While the payment benefits pension fund members and other participating employers, the campaign for the sacked workers continues.
