Latest Hovis Industrial Action Updates (1)

Approximately 60 Hovis distribution drivers based at the Avonmouth site in Bristol are set to strike indefinitely starting Thursday 24 September. The continuous strike action is expected to cause bread shortages across retail outlets in the South West and the West Midlands.

The dispute centers on a three per cent pay offer, which workers consider a real-terms pay cut compared to inflation. Bristol workers are also seeking the same commission and holiday premium enhancements that were offered to staff at the Belfast depot.
