Strikes by nearly 120 Bedford warehouse workers at medical warehousing company Movianto have been called off after a new pay deal was secured.
The agreement negotiated by Unite includes a four per cent pay increase backdated to April and a further one per cent increase from October, improving on an initial 3.5 per cent offer.
The deal also incorporates improvements to overtime rates, redundancy payments, and increased hourly payments for staff working in very narrow aisles. Paid breaks will be introduced from March 2027, along with an additional two per cent pay rise from April 2027, with a provision to reopen pay talks if inflation exceeds four per cent.
Strikes by nearly 120 workers at specialist medical warehousing company Movianto in Bedford have been postponed. Industrial action has been suspended for 21 days to allow workers to vote on an improved offer. The workforce had previously been scheduled to strike between 7 September and 7 October.

Movianto operates a storage warehouse and distribution centre for medical equipment and medication supplying hospitals and pharmacies across southern England. The industrial action by pickers and forklift truck drivers is scheduled to take place from 9 September to 7 October.
